Send

  • Visit a nearby CashUnited agent location*.
  • Register as a CashUnited customer** by giving your Original ID, your mobile number and address and obtain a “CashUnited ID Golden Card” (CU ID).
  • Inform the agent about the amount you wish to send.
  • Give your recipient’s full name as written on the ID they will be using to collect the money***.
  • Pay the transaction amount and transaction fees in CASH only.
  • Ask for your copy of the receipt including mostly importantly the reference number of the transfer in addition to the payout amount.
  • Give the 9-digit reference number to your recipient for instant pick-up.

 

* Some CashUnited agent locations might not have the money transfer services. To know which services are available at which agents, visit the “Locate an Agent” page on this website.

** Once you register as a CashUnited customer, you will obtain a CashUnited ID Golden Card (CU ID) that will enable you to process transactions from the second time onwards without giving your original ID anymore.

 

Documents and Information Needed to Send a Local Money Transfer

  1. Your full name.
  2. Your mobile number.
  3. Your residential address.
  4. Your occupation.
  5. The amount you wish to send.
  6. Your recipient’s full name as written on the ID he/she will be using to collect the money OR your recipient’s CU ID Number in case he/she is a registered CashUnited customer.
  7. Your Photo ID details:

a.    Present your original valid photo Identification document only the first time you visit a CashUnited agent to register as a CashUnited Customer and obtain a CashUnited ID Golden Card (CU ID).

b.   Then present your CU ID only once you are registered as a CashUnited customer.

 

-      Additional documents and/or information proving the purpose of your transfers and/or the relationship between you and your recipient or sender might be further requested for compliance reasons.

-      Profile updates might be required from time to time.

Receive

  • Visit a nearby CashUnited agent location*.
  • Register as a CashUnited customer** by giving your Original ID, your mobile number and address and obtain a “CashUnited ID Golden Card” (CU ID).
  • Give the CashUnited agent the 9-digit reference number given to you by the sender.
  • Give the CashUnited agent the amount you are expecting in addition to the sender’s full name.
  • Ask the agent to confirm the transferred amount as shown on the money transfer system.
  • If the amount given by the CashUnited agent meets your expectations, ask the agent to complete the transaction. If not, you need to contact the person who sent you the money.
  • Collect the transfer amount in CASH only and count the money in full BEFORE leaving the agent location***.
  • Sign the agent copy of the printed transfer receipt including the amount you collected and take your copy of the receipt signed and stamped by the CashUnited agent.

***Local Money Transfers can only be collected in Lebanese Pounds (LBP).

  1. The 9-digit reference number of the transaction.
  2. The country you are receiving money from.
  3. Your sender’s full name as on his/her ID.
  4. The amount you are expecting to receive.
  5. Your full name
  6. Your mobile number
  7. Your residential address
  8. Your occupation
  9. Your ID details:

a.    Present your original valid photo Identification document only the first time you visit a CashUnited agent to register as a CashUnited Customer and obtain a CashUnited ID Golden Card (CU ID).

b.   Then present your CU ID only once you are registered as a CashUnited customer.

A.   For Lebanese Nationals:

  • Government ID
  • Valid Passport
  • Civil Registration Document (<6 months)
  • Army ID

 

B.   For Non Lebanese Nationals

  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Residence Permit
  • Valid Work Permit
  • UNIFIL ID
  • Valid Residence Renewal Receipt (<6months)
